About Our Owner

2023 brings a fresh start and a new name to our company. At the end of 2022 we sold our Coffee Packaging Division and now focus on catering and concession events. Don't worry! Your favorite coffee and teas are still available at our online store and we still offer pop-up cafe concession events.

About Hickory Lane Catering...

My earliest memories are of living on Hickory Lane, where butter was made in a jar, salads came from the garden and dinner was fished in a stream.  My roots are southern, my culinary adventures are international and my professional training is in French technique.  Today, I enjoy taking seasonal California bounty and creating beautifully presented dishes that offer comforting and delightful flavors.  Because we have to put a name on it, we call it elevated comfort food.

Additionally, after my twins were born prematurely, I studied holistic nutrition in order to nurture a healthy family.  I am well versed in dietary restrictions and will take these requests seriously.

As you plan your next event, choose from our menu or let it be an inspiration for working together to curate something special. Our team will provide guidance to help you stay within your budget, ease your workload & put on a memorable event! We look forward to serving you!

Single Serve Co is a woman owned business established during the Covid Pandemic in late 2020.  Make sure to check out the Fall 2021 Edible Ventura and Ojai Magazine to learn more about Single Serve Co!

Julie Jacobs launched Single Serve Co with the intent of supporting small and local coffee growers & roasters with their packaging needs, specifically in Keurig compatible single serve pods. Our pop-up cafe, The Kitchen, brings elevated comfort food and premium coffee and tea to your concessions and events.

Julie has a varied background in Business/Product Development, Catering & Events in the Food & Beverage Industry.  She formulated a plan and new business to help industry colleagues rebuild after the pandemic. It was a culmination of all her life experience, introductions and luck that brought her here.

Getting to see Single Serve Co come to fruition and serve the community in the way she intended has been one of the most fulfilling challenges of her life.

At the end of 2022, Julie made the decision to sell the coffee packaging division of Single Serve Co and focus full time on food service.  The Kitchen is open for all your food service needs!
